It is a story that should be read in classrooms across the world. My youngest child won’t stop talking about Chi Chi. So many wonderful lessons in this book about perseverance and how disability does not define you. Beautiful, easy to understand, heartwarming story that everyone should read! I believe it will help her realize that she should never give up. I also hope that it helps her realize that her new forever family will never abandon her. Her story is not to different from Chi Chi’s and she too should live her life to the fullest. Thank you to Chi Chi and her family for writing such a beautiful story. It is very age appropriate and encouraging to say the least. I have followed Chi Chi's story from the time she was found abandoned to the time she passed from health issues. I have never seen a beautiful creature so bound and determined to live a great life. Chi Chi always had a smile on her face and was always very playful. This story is a perfect depiction of a wonderful dog who went through terrible suffering at the hands of cruel individuals only to have a positive attitude and sweet disposition. She went to a beautiful and caring home full of people who showered her with love and new legs so she could experience a playful life with other dogs and her new owners.
